Description
Who it’s for: Anyone delivering to milestones and stakeholders who needs to know what is actually holding the project up.
What happens in it: a short film shows a director who says it’s going fine, a pulse survey, and the group nobody had asked. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: rolling out a new stock-control system across the stores of Fairmount Pharmacies, and the rollout is halfway through. I send a one-question pulse survey to all 40 stakeholders on my register: the head-office sponsors, regional managers, store managers and the IT support team. Twenty-five respond, and 15 of them rate the project 4 or 5 on the 5-point scale. The sponsor asks how satisfied the stakeholders are. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Tamsin, the project manager, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 4 of 5 in the Delivery and stakeholders season of the Project Management series.
