Description
Who it’s for: Anyone in a store or a retail head office who has to answer one question: How hard is each square metre of your store working?
What happens in it: Watch the idea unfold: a store’s yearly sales, the floor space it took to earn them, and the number that shows what each square metre brings in. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: Head office has extra stock for the festive season and wants my recommendation for two of my stores. Store One made R14,400,000 in net sales last year on 1,200 square metres of selling floor. Store Two made R9,000,000 on 500 square metres. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Harvey, the chief executive, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 5 of 6 in the Store sales and shoppers season of the Retail series.
