Description
Who it’s for: Anyone whose projects grow after they were priced, and who needs to show where the extra work came from.
What happens in it: a short film shows timesheets that say all is well, a site diary that says otherwise, and the share of hours paid for twice. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: converting an old warehouse into student apartments for Quillfield Developments. My team has worked 3,200 hours on the conversion so far, including rework. Since the start, we have logged rework under its own timesheet code, and that code shows 480 hours spent redoing work. The developer wants to know how much of the team’s time is being lost. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Odessa, the project manager, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 4 of 5 in the Scope and change control season of the Project Management series.
