Description
Who it’s for: Anyone delivering to milestones and stakeholders who needs to know what is actually holding the project up.
What happens in it: a short film shows a client asking about move-in day, the milestones already due, and the one late milestone that matters most. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: refurbishing two wards at Mapleton General Hospital. The baseline schedule has 30 milestones. 20 of them have reached their baseline date so far, and 14 of those were completed on or before that date. Four of the six late milestones were later given new dates by the site team, without formal change approval, and were then finished on those new dates. The hospital’s operations committee asks how reliably the project is meeting its dates. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Rhiannon, the project manager, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 1 of 5 in the Delivery and stakeholders season of the Project Management series.
