Description

Who it’s for: Anyone in a store or a retail head office who has to answer one question: What does it really cost to pick and pack one online item from a store shelf?

What happens in it: Watch the idea unfold: stores doubling as fulfilment hubs, the spend behind every online order, and the number that shows what each unit costs. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: I’m reviewing how profitable our online orders are. Last month our stores spent R240,000 on in-store pick-and-pack and fulfilled 16,000 units. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Lionel, the operations director, in three questions.

How it works: five scenes in about 30 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 3 of 6 in the Store productivity season of the Retail series.
