Description

Who it’s for: Anyone in a store or a retail head office who has to answer one question: How much of a category’s sales goes on packaging fees?

What happens in it: Watch the idea unfold: a year of packaging fees, the share of sales they take, and the one packaging format behind most of them. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: I’m reviewing our packaging compliance costs category by category. Last year the cleaning products category paid R72,000 in Extended Producer Responsibility fees, on category sales of R3,600,000. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Rex, the chief financial officer, in three questions.

How it works: five scenes in about 30 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 6 of 6 in the Waste, loss and returns season of the Retail series.
