Description
Who it’s for: Anyone delivering to milestones and stakeholders who needs to know what is actually holding the project up.
What happens in it: a short film shows electricians standing idle, a decision that took two weeks, and the average that measures the wait. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: renovating the lobby and restaurant of the Harrowgate Shores Hotel. The renovation has raised 15 requests for decisions with the hotel owner. Twelve decisions have been made, taking 96 calendar days in total from request to decision. Three more are still pending, each waiting 12 days so far. The owner says the renovation is running slowly and asks whether the project team is to blame. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Rowena, the project manager, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 3 of 5 in the Delivery and stakeholders season of the Project Management series.
