Description
Who it’s for: Anyone in a store or a retail head office who has to answer one question: How many days does your stock take to turn back into cash?
What happens in it: Watch the idea unfold: a shelf of stock, the cash locked up in it, and the number that says how many days it takes to sell. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: We’re applying for a working capital loan, and the bank asks how quickly our stock turns into cash. Our average inventory value is R900,000, and our cost of goods sold for the year is R5,475,000. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Harold, the managing director, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 30 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 2 of 6 in the Stock and buying season of the Retail series.
