Description
Who it’s for: Anyone whose projects grow after they were priced, and who needs to show where the extra work came from.
What happens in it: a short film shows a site team standing idle, a request that waited weeks, and the average that measures the wait. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: building a new outpatient wing for Brookhaven Clinic. The project has had 24 change requests so far. 20 have been decided, and together they took 360 calendar days from submission to decision. The other 4 are still waiting. The clinic’s board has set a target of 10 days to decide a change request, and asks how the project is doing. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Lavinia, the project manager, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 3 of 5 in the Scope and change control season of the Project Management series.
