What happens in it: a short film shows a fit-out handed over on time and on budget, two years of results, and the benefit that never fully arrived. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: I track the benefits of a new patient booking system at Bayview Medical Center, handed over twelve months ago. Its business case planned R500,000 a year in net benefits for five years, R2,500,000 in total, from less admin overtime and fewer missed appointments. In the first year, we have achieved R360,000 of net benefits. The executive committee asks me whether the system is delivering. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Marjorie, the benefits manager, in three questions.
