Description
Who it’s for: Anyone delivering to milestones and stakeholders who needs to know what is actually holding the project up.
What happens in it: a short film shows a report that says “about one day”, the open milestone it left out, and the honest average. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: rolling out fibre to a business park for Westmere Broadband. The rollout has 16 milestones due so far. Twelve were on time. Three were completed late, by 5, 9 and 12 calendar days, and one, the main road crossing, is still open and already 14 calendar days past its baseline date. The client asks how far behind the milestones are running. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Florian, the project manager, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 2 of 5 in the Delivery and stakeholders season of the Project Management series.
