Description
Who it’s for: Anyone in a store or a retail head office who has to answer one question: How hard is the money in your stock really working?
What happens in it: Watch the idea unfold: a line’s profit, the money tied up in its stock, and the number that shows what each rand of stock earns. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: I’m reviewing how hard our stock money works before next season’s buying plan. Small kitchen appliances made R450,000 in gross profit last year, with average stock of R225,000 at cost. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Desmond, the commercial director, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 30 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 6 of 6 in the Store productivity season of the Retail series.
