Description
Who it’s for: Anyone in a store or a retail head office who has to answer one question: How much of your fresh stock ends up in the bin?
What happens in it: Watch the idea unfold: a fresh department, the stock that expires, and the number that shows its share of the category’s cost. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: I want to know how much of my produce category’s cost is lost to spoilage. Last month, R100,000 of produce stock at cost expired and was thrown away, out of a produce category cost value of R2,000,000. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Lloyd, the operations director, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 30 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 3 of 6 in the Waste, loss and returns season of the Retail series.
