Description

Who it’s for: Anyone in a store or a retail head office who has to answer one question: How much of your stock is damaged before it ever reaches a customer?

What happens in it: Watch the idea unfold: a strong month of sales, a pile of damaged stock in the back, and the number that compares the two. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: I’m reviewing last month for one of my branches. It marked down or dumped R120,000 of damaged stock, against net sales of R4,000,000. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Clive, the chief financial officer, in three questions.

How it works: five scenes in about 30 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 2 of 6 in the Waste, loss and returns season of the Retail series.
