Description
Who it’s for: Anyone in a store or a retail head office who has to answer one question: How much of your stock comes straight from the producer?
What happens in it: Watch the idea unfold: the year’s stock spend, the part that went straight to producers, and the share that skipped the middle layers. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: I’m reviewing our procurement strategy for the coming year. Fresh produce bought R900,000 of stock directly from producers, out of total category procurement spend of R2,000,000. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Gerard, the chief financial officer, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 30 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 6 of 6 in the Stock and buying season of the Retail series.
