Description
Who it’s for: Anyone in a store or a retail head office who has to answer one question: How much new stock can you still buy without breaking the plan?
What happens in it: Watch the idea unfold: what the season’s plan needs, the stock already in hand, and the buying room that is left. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: I’m planning purchases for the coming quarter. Planned sales are R3,000,000, planned markdowns R250,000 and planned closing stock R1,200,000. Opening stock is R1,450,000. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Edward, the merchandise director, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 30 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 4 of 6 in the Stock and buying season of the Retail series.
