Description

Who it’s for: Anyone running delivery in sprints or flow who needs to know how fast the work is really moving.

What happens in it: a short film shows a frustrated client, a reassuring average, and the slow tail it was hiding. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: product owner for Beaumont Health’s patient app, running a Kanban board for app fixes and small changes. We finished 40 items last month. For those items, the days from the request being logged to done add up to 440 days. The days from the team starting work to done, including days items were blocked, add up to 260 days, and of those, 80 days were spent blocked. The operations executive asks how long a fix takes once the team starts it. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Mirabel, the product owner, in three questions.

How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 3 of 5 in the Agile delivery flow season of the Project Management series.
