Description

Who it’s for: Anyone running delivery in sprints or flow who needs to know how fast the work is really moving.

What happens in it: a short film shows a busy support board, a good week that looks reassuring, and the weekly rate that tells the truth. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: I lead the digital services team for the City of Cedar Ridge, running a Kanban board for website and e-services requests. The board holds small, similar-sized requests: form fixes, page updates and online payment issues. Over the last eight weeks we finished 18, 20, 17, 21, 19, 22, 20 and 23 items. Last week we also started 26 new items. The city manager asks how much work the team gets through each week. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Odette, the team lead, in three questions.

How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 2 of 5 in the Agile delivery flow season of the Project Management series.
