Description
Who it’s for: Anyone who has to say where a project will land, and what it will take to pull it back.
What happens in it: a short film shows money still in the budget, the speed it is leaving, and the month it runs out. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: upgrading a community sports field and clubhouse for our trust, on a total budget of R1,800,000 and a twelve-month plan. Three months in, the actual cost to date is R570,000. The trust’s board asks whether the money is going out faster than expected. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Ignatius, the project manager, in three questions.
How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 2 of 5 in the Forecasting and recovery season of the Project Management series.
