In 35 minutes you will write any ratio in its simplest form by dividing both terms by their highest common factor. You will also put the terms in the right order, in one unit and in whole numbers before simplifying. And you will compare teams, sites and costs with simplified ratios, and split a total to find where a problem sits.

Description

Who it’s for: Anyone in business who works with prices, costs, budgets or reports and wants to be sure the numbers are right.

What happens in it: a short film shows one warehouse, three answers for the same ratio, and the one number that divides both. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: a week of deliveries, a regional target and a total that hides where the late ones come from. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Thabiso, the regional manager, in three questions.

How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 1 of 5 in the Ratios and proportion season of the Numbers for Business series.
