In 35 minutes you will work out the false positive rate gap from each group’s good payers and those wrongly flagged. You will also state which outcome counts as positive and divide by good payers. And you will read the gap as one half of equalized odds, with the true positive rates.

Description

Who it’s for: Managers, owners and teams who use AI, or are deciding whether to, and need to judge it in numbers rather than impressions.

What happens in it: a short film shows good customers wrongly flagged and declined, and the group in which it happens more than twice as often. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: a small-enterprise loan model, a board asking whether good customers are treated alike, and a feature that misreads seasonal income. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Torsten, the board chair, in three questions.

How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 4 of 5 in the Fairness season of the AI for Business series.
