In 35 minutes you will work out accuracy from the four cells of a confusion matrix. You will also compare accuracy with a model that flags nothing. And you will explain why accuracy misleads when the outcome you look for is rare.

Description

Who it’s for: Managers, owners and teams who use AI, or are deciding whether to, and need to judge it in numbers rather than impressions.

What happens in it: a short film shows a fraud model that is 96% accurate, and a model that does nothing that comes surprisingly close. In Your call you make the decisions in a real case: a vendor’s “97% accurate” fraud flag, a trial on your own claims, and a committee that wants a yes or no. Then, in the boardroom, you make the case to Takeshi, the committee chair, in three questions.

How it works: five scenes in about 35 minutes: the data film, the lesson, Your call, practice with fresh numbers that mark themselves, and the boardroom. Finish all five for your certificate. It is course 1 of 5 in the Predictive AI accuracy season of the AI for Business series.
