This notice explains how Praxis LMS (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2018/219542/07), trading as Praxis Learning Solutions collects and uses personal information, as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who is responsible

What we collect and why
- When you contact us or register interest: your name, email address and message, to reply to you and, if you ask us to, to tell you when courses open.
- When you buy (once sales open): your name, email address and what you bought, to give you access, send receipts and keep financial records. Card details are handled by our payment provider, Paystack; we never see them. Your account on the learning platform is created automatically from your order by Edwiser Bridge, software running on our own servers, which passes your name and email address from the shop to the learning platform.
- When you use a course: the learning platform records when you signed in, which lessons, videos and practice tools you opened, how long you spent on them, what you completed and any certificate issued. We use this to give you your progress and certificate, to see which courses work, and, where it is needed, as the record of what was delivered to you if there is a refund request, a payment dispute or a chargeback.
- When you learn: your progress, scores and certificates on our learning platform, to show your progress, issue certificates and, for company seats, report progress to the company that paid.
- Website statistics: pages visited and general location, collected by WordPress.com (Jetpack) on this site and by GoatCounter, without cookies, on the practice tools. We use these numbers only in total, to see what people use.
Marketing emails
We send news about courses only if you have asked for it, or if you have bought from us and have not opted out. Every email lets you unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the service: Amazon Web Services (website and learning-platform hosting), Cloudflare (file delivery), Google (email and storage), WordPress.com (site statistics), and Paystack (payments, once sales open). Some of these providers store information outside South Africa; we use providers that protect it to a standard comparable to POPIA. Edwiser Bridge, which links our shop and our learning platform, runs on our own servers; it does not send your information to anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose above: enquiries for up to 12 months, learning records for as long as your access lasts plus enough time to verify certificates, and financial records for 5 years as tax law requires.
Keeping it safe
We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable providers to protect your information. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Your rights
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to us using it, including for marketing;
- complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

Cookies
This site uses the cookies it needs to work, such as those that keep administrators signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
Children
Our courses are for adults. People under 18 may use them only with a parent or guardian’s consent.
